About Ojai
Naomita Yadav

Jas advises individuals, families, and business owners on international tax, regulatory, and multigenerational wealth planning, with a focus on cross-border matters between the United States and Canada.

He works with clients whose personal, financial, and business interests span multiple jurisdictions, particularly the U.S.–Canada corridor, structuring their affairs so that planning is coordinated, compliant, and effective across systems.

Born and raised in Canada, Jas brings a unique cross-border perspective shaped by both lived experience and professional practice. He advises Canadians relocating to or investing in the United States, as well as U.S. clients with Canadian ties. His work focuses on identifying where tax, trust, and regulatory regimes diverge and designing structures that remain effective across multiple jurisdictions over time.

His practice includes advising on changes in residence, cross-border investments, and long-term wealth planning, including pre-immigration structuring, emigration planning, and international wealth transfers. He regularly represents high net worth and ultra-high net worth families, including high-profile individuals, and advises founders and closely held business owners on cross-border structuring in connection with expansion and liquidity events. His work frequently involves navigating overlapping tax and regulatory regimes and coordinating with advisors across jurisdictions to address cross-border compliance and structuring considerations.

Jas has over a decade of experience in cross-border tax and private wealth planning. Prior to joining Ojai Tax Law, he practiced at Venable LLP, where he advised private clients and globally situated families on Canadian, U.S. and international tax, trust, and regulatory matters. He regularly speaks and teaches on international tax and private wealth topics and is licensed to practice in California and British Columbia.
